Me, me, me

robot david

Update, 8/12: my record is now available on iTunes and Amazon. Download away!

The time has come, my friends. It is time for me to shamelessly plug my new record, Flyover State.
Here's the title track.

David Brusie - Flyover State.

I've shared my music here before, and felt just as sheepish about it as I do now, but I'm trying to spread the word in any way I can. Feel free to listen and download, and if you feel so moved, comment in any way you want. I'm open to feedback.

Flyover State has been in the works for about a year and a half now, and I finally finished recording and mixing in May. I recorded it at my friend Josh Baesler's studio in Minneapolis, with college friends Jesse Fox on drums and Simon Hutchinson on bass. Everything else - aside from some amazing saxophone work by Mike Abresch and strings by Michael Roberts, and assorted percussion by Brent Thorson - is me. Josh Baesler also produced and mixed.
The CD artwork up there was done by John Grider.

Anyway, you can order or download the record from CDBaby, and you can find out anything me-related (including an awesome bio written by Robot Mark himself) over at my site, which was painstakingly made by my friend Alex. Thanks for reading and listening.

Now back to your regularly scheduled music.

I am really digging this song David. Great job. Very Americana/Indie vibe. Can't wait to check out the rest of the record.

I think there's a lot to love in this song - it's the kind of warm, strumming song that I love to put on my driving mixes...this is really well done.

Hey David, been listening to your sample tracks for quite a while (since 2004). I can really see the improvement, and this track is great. To be honest the earlier tracks were usually slightly under-produced for my taste - but this one is fuller and richer and I really like it. Don't stop the music!
