You will become your doubt

the coast

Ack! You know what I meant to do but forgot about? I meant to post this track late last week, so I could promote The Coast's show at The Nomad in Minneapolis. What if I tell you that they'll be at the Record Bar in Kansas City tonight? And The Hi-Dive in Denver tomorrow night? Okay, I feel better.

The Coast - Tightrope.

The Coast is from Toronto, and they have a new record out called Expatriate. It's good, and this is my favorite song from the album. If you've read Music For Robots for a while, you may know I'm a sucker for particular things. Hooks, handclaps, short phrases yelled in unison. Check, check, check. This is a driving song, a morning commute song, a this-shit-just-needs-to-get-done song. It starts with those ominous synths and congeals into the sound of life happening. Catchily.

Expatriate comes out tomorrow. You can get it from Amazon, iTunes, and the band.

Have you heard the Tokyo Police Club remix of this song. It's amazing. I personally prefer it over the original. Please check it out, you'll be satisfied.

I really love the song Nueva York. It sounds very similar but a much bigger emphasis on piano. I'm glad to see others writing about them and liking them as well!
