Please Play With Me

Peter Broderick - Games Again.

Sometimes when you're in a drought, you have to borrow your rain from someone else. Luckily for us folks in the southland, Portland has always got plenty of drizzle to spare. This is the sound of that first whiff of warm wet pavement, the gentle snap of the leaves in the trees, the cool damp air. It's the sound of small changes of the subtle seasons. It's asking for something already knowing the negative answer.

Those of you playing along at home may know Peter Broderick from his work as one half of Portland's Horse Feathers. Along with Justin Ringle that band makes delicate, powerful folk music. Here, on his own, he travels similar paths but with slightly more air dusted into the melodies.

At any rate, it's a beautiful, slow album, perfect for the quiet fall we could probably all use right now. You can pick up the new album, Home, from our friends over at Hush Records.

i wish it would fucking rain already. esp b/c they're filming some godawful TNT show up the street, due to which the fruit and chile guy that's usually there is nowhere to be found. i would stand on the corner, sopping wet, laughing my ass off. then i would go up the street to the other fruit and chile guy.

So I saw that The Sex Pistols have a DVD release soon. There’ll Always Be An England looks really good. I wish I could have gone to one of those shows. Check it out: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001FBJUMM?ie=UTF8&tag=rhinocom-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B001FBJUMM

I know this has nothing to do with this post or any recent posts, but could you possibly repost Hysterics cover of "Do it Again?" When I upgraded computers I neglected to transfer all my music and I would really hate to think that I never get to hear that song again.
