Go Thursday Go!

I love the Go! Team, but I seldom listen to an entire record by the band - it's like eating ten Pixy Stix, or drinking three cans of Coke. I think the Go! Team, despite making nuanced, well-sequenced records, are more of an EP band. A few songs here and there, a good kick in the ass, and you're on your way.

Here's an example of a good kick in the ass.

Black Moth Super Rainbow - Twin Of Myself (Go! Team Remix).

The original Black Moth track, from their hazy new record Eating Us, is a sleepy-eyed, Dave Fridmann-produced jam, and the Go! Team take the essential elements, speed them up, and add sugar. Both versions are good, but I think I prefer the Go! Team. Here's the original. (That's right, two Dave Fridmann tracks in three days. Booyah!)

Interesting, right?

Kick in the ass hereby administered. Now get on with your Thursday.
