manufactured in the musical wasteland of rural Maine, anders has learned to not take good tunes for granted. this can be hard in his current residence in NYC where there's a show worth going to almost every night.

preferring the dark, loud, and heavy, anders spends most of his time damaging his hearing with various shades of industrial, goth, and death metal. anders cried the day Godflesh broke up and rejoiced when Headbanger's Ball came back on air. despite enjoying the sensation of bleeding ears, he is also a sucker for a well constructed melody and will admit to having guilty pleasures that range across the musical landscape from Hong Kong pop to Swedish folk music to bluegrass to jazz and hip hop. if you get him drunk enough, he may even admit to liking an indie rock band or two.

when not busy supplying robots with all things dark and loud, anders works as a programmer for Columbia, writes on his own blog, and fights for an open standards based web. more details on his non-musical life are available on his extensive homepage.
